View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastMrs. Sara Helen Ledbetter White, 90, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mike Kesler and Terry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Lewisburg native was the daughter of the late Mayfield Sharon Ledbetter and Ives Virginia Ledford Ledbetter. She was a 1941 graduate of Marshall County High School and attended Columbia Business School. On October 14, 1944 she married Grover Cleveland White who preceded her in death August 4, 2001. For many years she worked for the West 7th Street Church of Christ Mother's Day Out program. She loved cooking and entertaining friends and family. Mrs. White was a former longtime resident of Oak Drive and had been a resident of Life Care for the past several years. She was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Watts of Spring Hill, Karen (Eugene) Tennyson of Estill Springs; seven grandchildren, Melinda Watts of Spring Hill, Brandon Watts of Kihei, Hawaii, Molly Watts of Spring Hill, Weston Tennyson, Lara Tennyson, Savannah Tennyson, Ben Tennyson all of Estill Springs; great grandson, Kailer Watts of Kihei, Hawaii; three nieces; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Lou S. White and sisters, Martha Clyde and Dorothy Barron. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include elders and deacons of West 7th St. Church of Christ.
