Hester Sims Neibarger

View Funeral WebcastMrs. Hester Sims West Neibarger, 87, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at her residence in Louisville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ricky Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joseph William "J.W." Sims and Mattie Bell Jones Sims. She spent most of her life in Kentucky where she was retired from Taylor Drug Store as a Pharmacy Tech. She volunteered with Home of the Innocence, Southwest Ministries and Churchill Downs. She was a member of Southwest Homemakers Club and Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Lankford, Anne Marie Prince; and brothers, William Sims, Harry Sims, and H.O. "Oscar" Sims. Survivors include her loving husband, Frederick E. Neibarger; children, Danny L. (Angela) West and Kathy (Ron) Wilson; step-children, Fred E. (Sherry), Neibarger, Jr., Freda (Terry) White; grandchildren, Chad, Kristen and Brittany; several great grandchildren; and brother, Ralph C. (Era) Sims of Columbia.
