Hilda Faye Grimes Hunnicutt

Mrs. Hilda Faye Grimes Hunnicutt, 71, a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida and a former resident of Columbia, died Thursday November 17, 2022 at her residence. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, December 10th at 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends after 10:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Hildreth D. Grimes and the late Mary Hazel Johnson Grimes. She worked for many years in the Maury County Court System, and as a receptionist for Maury Regional Medical Center. She loved scary movies, cooking and feeding friends and family, and most of all spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was always helping someone else, no matter who. She is survived by her three children: James Todd Prince, Damien Porter (Holly) Prince, and Will Seth (Clay Farrar) Hunnicutt; five grandchildren: Jamie Prince, Cody (Autumn) Prince, Bella Shannon, Peyton (Haileigh) Prince, and Sarah Beth Prince; three great-grandchildren: Sury, Alivia, and Cameron Prince; five siblings: J.W. (Donna) Grimes, Deryl Grimes, Barbara Hodge, Robert “Tony” (Jenny) Grimes, and Catherine Joyce (Robert) Warf; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Dennis Goatz; sisters: Mary Jo Pedigo, Delores Ellis, and Linda Martin; and brother: Daniel Grimes.
