View Funeral Webcast Homer Ray Gilliam, 62, retired from Tennessee Aluminum Processors and resident of Sowell Mill Pike, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jack White officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The Maury County native was the son of the late Purzie Houston Gilliam and Eurella Heathcott Gilliam. As a youngster he played baseball and later for a number of years played softball for A. B. Jones, Butch's Market, Action Properties, Cheek's Market, and the Isom teams in the Middle Tennessee area. Survivors include a son, Sammy Ray (Kimberly) Gilliam of Hampshire; daughter, P. J. Gilliam of Columbia; brothers, Larry Houston (Sue) Gilliam of Columbia, Jimmy Allen (Dianna) Gilliam of Jasper, and J. W. (Paula) Gilliam of Columbia; grandchildren, Sabrina Gilliam, Cortney Gilliam, and Sydney Gilliam. Pallbearers are Jammy Gilliam, Joey Bell, Richie Gilliam, Wesley Gilliam, David Ring, Byron Farris, and Jesse Gilliam.
