View Funeral Webcast Houston O’Neil Russell, 73, retired employee from Sara Lee and resident of Primm Springs, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at Alive Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Johnny Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow in Hudgins Cemetery in Fairview. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 15, 1947 in Williamson County, he was the son of the late Archie Charles Russell, Sr. and the late Laura Agnes Harris. A loving husband and father, Mr. Russell enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include wife, Shirley Owens Russell of Primm Springs; daughter, Ashley Russell of Primm Springs; brothers, Archie (Sue) Russell, Jr. of Primm Springs; Clayton (Rachel) Russell of Theta; John (Brenda) Russell of Theta; Jerry Russell of Primm Springs; sisters, Jeanetta (Johnny) Tomlin of Columbia; Jan (Jim) Kilgore of Chapel Hill; Beth (Jim) Richardson of Spring Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Kirby Russell. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
