View Funeral WebcastMr. Howard Lawson Bryant, 52, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at his residence on Woodland St. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Decherd, Tennessee native was the son of the late Avery Alton Bryant and Evia Jane King Bryant. On February 5, 1981 he married Angela Sue Emerson Bryant of Columbia who survives him. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Stanley Emerson of Dickson, Jimmy Bryant and Billy Bryant both of Columbia; daughter, Michelle Bryant of Columbia; brothers, Paul Bryant of Memphis, Robert (Teresa) Bryant of Mt. Pleasant, Tommy Bryant of Clifton, Stanley (Rosie) Bryant, Steve (JoAnn) Bryant, Lester (Jennifer) Bryant, Roger (Jennifer) Bryant all of Lewisburg; sisters, Nancy (Teddy) Shepherd and Lorraine (Ed) King both of Lewisburg; five grandchildren; and one step-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Labraney and brothers, Randall Bryant and Hershel Bryant. Active pallbearers will be Calvin Bryant, Dewayne Cates, Earl Emerson, Peto Cates, T.J. Shepherd, Jr. Labraney, Ricky McKnight, Robert Bryant and Floyd Morton. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Bryant and Clifford Thornton.
