Irene Mann Farris

MRS. ADDIS L. FARRIS, SR. Mrs. Irene Mann Farris, 80, widow of Addis L. Farris, Sr., owner-operator of Farris Grocery for many years and a resident of Mapleash Avenue, died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family atwww.oakesandnichols.com. The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late Jeff Mann and Mary Barber Mann and a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Farris of Columbia; a son, Addis Leroy Farris, Jr. of Rockvale; five sisters, Gertrude Thompson of Savannah, Lois (Norman) Ryder of Toledo, Ohio, Karene (Cecil) Martin of Columbia, Mildred (C.F.) Moore of West Point, Norma Jean Perry of Toledo, Ohio; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Elders and Deacons of Eastside Church of Christ.
