Irene Jeffreys Moore

Irene Jeffreys Moore, 97, retired real estate agent, died Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her residence in Columbia.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 P.M. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence, Alabama. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home, 8450 Highway 43, Florence, AL 35634. Born October 23, 1925, in Colbert County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Soloman Marshall Jeffreys and the late Lillian Ozella Jackson Jeffreys. She married Roy Aaron Moore who preceded her in death April 17, 1998. Mrs. Moore was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Lockhart of Chatworth, Georgia; Karen (Alan) Phillips of Columbia; grandchildren, Karen Colley of Tunell Hill, Georgia; Leslie Lockhart of Chatworth, Georgia; sisters, Lyda Sypolt of Florence, Alabama; Faye Ellen Posey of Tuscumbia, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jewell Watt Jeffreys, Ulysses Jeffreys, Aubrey Jean Jeffreys, and Hillard Tomas Jeffreys.
