View Funeral Webcast Jewell Ventus Graves Ingram, 96, widow of Charles David "C.D." Ingram and resident of Carters Creek Pike, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols with John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Topsy, Tennessee in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Ramson Graves and Roxie Lafferty Graves. She was in the first graduating class from the "old" Spring Hill High School where she played on the girls' basketball team. Mrs. Ingram was a member of Beech Grove Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Charlie (Susan) Ingram of Santa Fe; two grandchildren Hunter (Marion) Ingram of Spring Hill, Anna Ingram of Santa Fe; two sisters Mrs. Stella Mae Prince of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Mrs. Juanelle Eddleman of Murfreesboro; two brothers Maxie Graves of Murfreesboro, Jimmy (Sue) Graves of Ringgold, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Patton and two brothers, Wilson Graves and Tom Graves. Active pallbearers are Joe Roberson, Charlie Kuhn, Lexie Sparkman, Sam Williams, Larry Joe Patton and Mitchell Johns. Honorary pallbearers include Hugh Erwin, Jerry Erwin, Gene Quarles and Robbie Jarratt.
