Jack Delano Auville, 86, resident of Culleoka, died Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 17 at 4:00 PM at Grace Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Matt Taylor and Pastor Tonya Marks officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Grace Church of the Nazarene.

Born May 8, 1939 in Iaeger, WV, he was the son of the late Samuel David Auville and the late Martha Elizabeth Johnson Auville. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. On February 27, 1960, he married Sylvia Ann Martin, who preceded him in death on June 6, 2018. He retired as a freight man for CSX railroad, where he worked for 38 years. Jack was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and farming. He coached numerous sports for over 50 years, including softball, baseball, basketball, and football. Jack was in the Cincinnati Softball Hall of Fame and coached in the Nazarene National Softball Tournament. He was also a member of the Culleoka Lion’s Club and loved raising beef cattle. He was a man of faith, leading many to know Christ, and was always giving a helping hand to both his family and the community. Above all Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, where he was a board member for many years.
He is survived by his sons, Randy (Carmen) Auville, Danny (Cindy) Auville, and Keith (Sally) Auville; grandchildren, Ben (Katie) Auville, Eric Auville, Trent Auville, Katie (Jamie) Ring, Jeannie Ann (Austin) Seaborn, Megan (Kenneth) Jolley, Paige Auville, Cole (Sarah Beth) Auville, Grant Oney, and Grace Oney; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Belew, and Sheila (Billy) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, and his wife of 58 years, Sylvia Auville, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas Auville, Bobby Auville, Richard Auville, and Larry Auville; and sister, Betty Mullins.
Pallbearers will be Trent Auville, Ben Auville, Eric Auville, Jamie Ring, Kenneth Jolley, Cole Auville, Grant Oney, and Austin Seaborn. Honorary pallbearers will include Craig Jones, Frankie Harwell, Tommy Campbell, Dwayne Martin, Edgar Chumley, Billy Benefield, Harvey Nicholson, and Jimmy Atkisson.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Micey Foster, Linda Perry, Tiffany Ellison, and the Doctors, nurses and staff of NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center for the love and care they showed their dad during his illness.
