View Funeral Service WebcastMr. Jack Lee Kenney, 80, resident of Sunnyside Drive, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bro. Carl May officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Wilson County native was the son of the late Charles S. Kenney and Mattie Jennings Kenney. On August 12, 1950 he married Norma Ann Seaborn Kenney who survives him. Mr. Kenney was formerly employed at Occidental Chemical Company. He was founder and owner of Columbia Camper Sales & Services and Middle Tennessee Portable Buildings. He was an avid camper and was a charter member of Dimple of the Universe Camping Club and a member of Hardison Mill Campground. Mr. Kenney was a member of Berea Church of Christ. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by three daughters, Suzanne (Alan) Lynn, Beth (Kenny) Marshall, Kristi (Travis) Roemer; two sons, Barry (Vicki) Kenney, Randy Kenney; six grandchildren, Nathan (Rachel) Kenney, Andy (Amy) Kenney, Cara Lynn, Katie (Clay) Hickerson, Tyler (Melissa) Marshall, Lauren Marshall; four great-grandsons, Jase Kenney, Ashton Marshall, Landon Marshall, Elliott Hickerson; two sisters, Ann (Bobby) Davis, Ruth Moore; one brother, James (Millie) Kenney; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Salyer, Eula Tomlinson, Blanche Steely, Faye Kenney, and one brother, Charles Kenney. Active pallbearers will be Nathan Kenney, Andy Kenney, Tyler Marshall, Clay Hickerson, Alan Lynn, Kenny Marshall, Travis Roemer and Donald Steely. Honorary pallbearers will be Garland Wherry and members of Berea Church of Christ. Special thanks to the nursing staff of the Skilled Nursing Unit at Maury Regional Medical Center.
