View Funeral Webcast Jack Thomas Chism, Jr., 64, field engineer for AT&T, died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his residence in Columbia. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Matthew Brown officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born August 15, 1958 in Tupelo, Mississippi, he was the son of Wynell Edgeworth Chism and the late Jack Thomas Chism, Sr. He was graduate of Germantown High School. Mr. Chism was known by his family a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He enjoyed building and flying RC Planes. Mr. Chism was a member of Bigbyville United Methodist Church and Columbia RC Flyers. In addition to his mother, Wynell Edgeworth Chism, survivors include his wife, Lisa Smith Chism; children, Scott Chism, Amanda (Bryan) Hickman; grandchildren, Hayden Hickman, Emma Hickman, Aria Hickman; sister, Deborah (Tony) Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Columbia RC Flyers.
