James Lee Collins

Mr. James Lee Collins, 92, resident of Dogwood Road in Germantown, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at NHC Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 noon at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis with David Buckingham officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The Shelby County native was the son of the late August B. Collins and Flora Virginia Ward Collins. He served in the United States Army during World War II and then as a civil engineer for the Department of Defense in Germany. After returning to the United States he became a realtor in the Greater Memphis area. Survivors include his daughters, Jeanine Collins of Kabul, Afghanistan, Daniela "Danny" Collins (David Buckingham) of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Daria, James, Helen, David; and loving nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews and their families.
