View Funeral Webcast Mr. James Edward Barber, 56, retired truck driver, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Nunnelly, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mack Strange officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A native of Hohenwald, he was the son of the late William C. Barber and Onerlee James Barber. Mr. Barber was a former drag car racer and an avid University of Tennessee football fan. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Potts Barber of Columbia; daughter, Karrie (David) Hollis of Spring Hill; two sisters, Clarine (Ed) Duncan and Callie (Glenn) Garrison, both of Hohenwald; two brothers, William (Sandra) Barber of Greenfield, TN; Thomas (Kathie) Barber of Hohenwald; two grandchildren, Max Hollis and Sydney Hollis, both of Spring Hill; stepdaughter, Christy (Fred) Beesley of Franklin; several nieces, nephews, stepbrothers, and stepsisters. Pallbearers will be Tommy Barber, Kevin Barber, James Wisdom, Marty Adkison, Jeremy Gray, Dakota Gray, and Tyler Wisdom.
