Mr. James Milton "Pete" Goad, 67, retired self-employed welder and resident of Pleasantwood Apartments in Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Roy Fraser officiating. Military honors at graveside will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Allen "Buddy" Goad and Margaret England Goad. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Betty Goad (Charles) Fraser of Columbia; brothers, Randall England Goad of Nashville and Jerry Dalton Goad of Mt. Pleasant.
