View Video Tribute James Thomas Lunn, 86, retired employee of Tennessee Aluminum, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Hank Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Mt. Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church, c/o Evaline Lunn, 4448 Kedron Road, Spring Hill, TN 37174 or Jones Cemetery, c/o Barbara Harmon, 2036 North Lasea Road, Spring Hill, TN 37174. Condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late W. F. "Bill" Lunn and Margaret Campbell Lunn. He served in the U. S. Army from 1955 to 1957, where he was a wheel mechanic when stationed in Germany. He was a former employee of Pepsi Bottling, Conalco, as well as Tennessee Aluminum. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Putnam Lunn whom he married in 1972; daughters, Judy (Charlie) Morton and Maryann Webb, both of Columbia; son, J. T. Lunn of Columbia; sister, Mary Alice (Morris) Johnson of Columbia; grandchildren, Paxton (Amy) Morton of Summertown; Shelley (Michael) Burton, Austin Webb, and Emily Webb, all of Columbia; great grandchildren, Hunter Morton, Caleb Morton, Maddie Mae Morton, and Scarlett Barnhill, all of Summertown; Hayden Burton, Shane Hay, and Taylor Burton, all of Columbia; nephews, Terry (Angie) Johnson of Columbia and Larry (Debbie) Johnson of Nashville. Active pallbearers will be Paxton Morton, Lonnie Wilson, Bo Scott, Steve Putnam, Keith Putnam, and Ronnie Lunn. Honorary pallbearers include Steve Foster, Robert "Sonny" Galbreath, Ricky Huckaby, Billy Ray Campbell, Dr. Cary Pulliam, Dr. Rand Hayes, Terry Johnson, Larry Johnson, and past employees of Conalco.
