View Funeral Webcast James Dean Swarthout, 46, oil-rig supervisor for Exxon Corporation, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his residence on Akin Ridge Road in Williamsport. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Mark White officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. He was born in Lansing, Michigan and served in the United States Marines. He was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Josie Leos-Lopez Hudson and David Hudson of Williamsport; his father, Ward D. Swarthout of New York; daughters, Shannon Lynn McMillian of Columbia and Jamie Autumn Swarthout of Lansing, Michigan; sister, Nadean Marie Swarthout of Williamsport; brother, David Jacob Hudson of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Willie Dixon, III. Active pallbearers are Richard Uribe, William Uribe, Larry Uribe, John Lopez, Benny Lopez and Rudy Lopez. Honorary pallbearers include Charles Dale, Charles (Tommy) Dale, and James M. Swarthout.
