View Funeral WebcastMr. James Lewis White, 70, resident of Mooresville Pike, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Culleoka Volunteer Fire Department Station #3, P. O. Box 13, Culleoka , TN 38451. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Lewis B. White and Janie Bell Demastus White. He formerly worked for General Electric, Fedders Corporation and Sharp Transport. He was a member of Glendale United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Mai "Hassie" Wilson White whom he married December 27, 1965; son, Andrew Dale (Kerri Gamble) White of Rogersville, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Julie Bolin White of Culleoka; grandchildren, Raeann White, Garrett White, Shelby Lynn White, Hannah Grace White, Alex Richardson, and Gilbert Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Carlene Hall White; nieces, Delana White and Deborah White Griffy; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Lewis "Woody" White,III; brother, Larry White; and step-mother, Karneil Huey White. Active pallbearers will be Joe Alexander, Chip Davis, Steve Brown, Bobby Fitz, James "Bean" Wisdom, and Dewayne Weaver. Honorary pallbearers include French McClain, Charlie Davis, Wendell Ragsdale, friends of S & K Market, and members of the Culleoka Volunteer Fire Department Station #3. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Houston Jameson, Dr. Gaylon Harris and Maury Regional Medical Center ICU Nurses and Staff.
