James David Wood

James David Wood, 54, construction worker, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at his residence in Columbia. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 12:00 P.M. at Potts Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the graveside. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assiting the family with arrangements. Mr. Wood enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. During his younger years, he attended Mission Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Julie Burnham; daughter, Katie Wood; son, J.D. Wood; sisters, Barbara Smith, Rene Wood, Melony Bates, and Karen Wood; brother, Joe Wood; and several nieces and nephews.
