Jane Nichols Lawwell, 77, a resident of Williamsport Pike, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at Sterling House.A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and was employed by AT&T, Hooker Chemical Company, and Victory Van Lines. She was member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, whom she married March 17, 1963, Ed Lawwell of Columbia; daughter, Lindy (David) Gagnon of Murfreesboro; son, Thomas E. (Christy) Lawwell, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Linden Gagnon and Ryan Gagnon both of Murfreesboro; Devin Lawwell and Catrina Lawwell both of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, J.L. "Buddy" (Nelda) Nichols of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ed Denton and her twin brother Jerry Wayne Nichols.
