Jane Weaver Trimble

View Video Tribute Jane Weaver Trimble, 85, a resident of Columbia passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Maury County, Mrs. Trimble was the daughter of the late William Henry and Sallie Ann Crossland Weaver. She spent most of her youth in Giles County. After graduation from Spring Hill High School, she married Norris Ashley Trimble, and they reared their family in the Carters Creek Community. She worked several years for Maury County Schools at Spring Hill High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia State Community College in 1974 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1975 from Middle Tennessee State University. She taught Library Science in the Lewis County School System and retired from Mid-Cumberland Development Agency as Director of the Lewis County Senior Citizens Center. She was a resident of Hohenwald for 28 years. A lifelong member of the Church of Christ, she attended Fairview Church of Christ on Carters Creek, Walnut Street Church of Christ in Hohenwald, and Graymere Church of Christ. She took great pride in her flowers, sewing, reading, and spending quality time with immediate and extended family. Survivors include daughters, Janice Parker of Brentwood, Clarice (Jim) McPherson of Hendersonville, and Sandra (Tim) Larson of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Aubrey J. Parker, Jr. of Franklin, Ashley (Marcus) Dukes of Jackson, MS, Christopher (Tanya) McPherson of Hendersonville, Elizabeth Larson of Philadelphia, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Parker, Bella and Jack McPherson; sisters, Ola Mae Andrews of Holladay, TN, Pearl Kincaid and Nellie (Valton) Rummage, both of Columbia; brothers, Clarence Weaver of Spring Hill, Bill (Valree) Weaver of Woodbury, Jack (Faye) Weaver of Spring Hill; sister-in-law, Nell Weaver of Paris, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Eulala and Everett Prestridge, Ben Andrews, Mary and Clarence Kirk, Sara and Garland Glenn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel Weaver, George Weaver, Dock and Teenie Weaver, Roy and Rebecca Weaver, Hint Frierson Weaver; and son-in-law, Aubrey J. Parker, Sr. Pallbearers will be Aubrey Parker, Jr., Marcus Dukes, Christopher McPherson, James Prestridge, Ben Andrews, Jerry Kirk, Darrell Trimble, and Ricky Brown. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the thoughtful loving care given by Katie Mitchell and the staff at Life Care Center.
