View Funeral WebcastView Video TributeMrs. Jean Darlene Daniels May, 64, former owner of Bo-Kay Florist and resident of Campbellsville Pike in Lynnville, died Wednesday , May 19, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Terrell Pitts officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Oakes & Nichols. Memorials may be made to the Family of Darlene May, P.O. Box 1015, Columbia, TN 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Davidson County native was the daughter of Fred Bryant Harber of Hendersonville and the late Verna Belle Hedgepath Harber. She was married to Johnny Thomas May, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. May loved fishing, camping, and cooking. She was a member of Big Creek Church of Christ. Survivors in addition to her father are two sons, Forrest May and Lonnie May both of Lynnville; grandson, Forrest May "Little Man", Jr. of Lynnville; sister, Stephanie Hatcher of Hendersonville; two brothers, Charles (Helen) Daniels of Springfield, Fred Bryant Harber, Jr. of Hendersonville; step-mother, Jerri Harber of Hendersonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Thomas May, Jr. Pallbearers will be Steve Blake, Brent Hull, Donnie Hull, Gary Campbell, Jim Boze, Mike Anderson, Robert Kelly and Monty Newsom. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Edlin, Ty Reece, Garrett Baker, Gaston Baker and Jacob Nelson.
