View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Imogene "Jean" Angus Cushing Potts, 84, resident of Birchwood Drive, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wendell Robinson and Rev. Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Eastside Church of Christ Building Fund, 1024 E. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Aub Angus and Eula Raye Stewart Angus. She was first married to Clyde Cushing who preceded her in death on June 28, 1962. On June 19, 1964 she married Raymond "Buddy" Potts who preceded her in death December 28, 2009. Mrs. Potts owned and operated the Rebel Grill Restaurant and at one time was employed at Wilson Quick Drug Store. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Jimmy (Brenda) Cushing of Fayetteville, Kay (Glenn) Smith of Milton, Florida, Janice (Johnny) Smith and Troy (Heather) Potts both of Columbia, Joyce (Charles) Hubbell of Lynnville, Harlan (Shirley) Potts of Mt. Pleasant, Jerry (Stacey) Cushing of Alabaster, Alabama; grandchildren, Cynthia (Paul) Gibson, Jeff (Susan) Hubbell and Jamie (Penny) Hubbell all of Columbia, Tina (Donnie) Doherty of Athens, Alabama, Rick Cushing of Fayetteville, Angela (Mike) Thompson of Thompsons Station, Alan Smith, Alden Smith and Aaron Smith all of Milton, Florida, Juanita Potts and Leslie (Tim) Morton both of Columbia, Amanda (Mark) Leswinskie of Brentwood, Katie (JoJo) Allen, Josh (Heather) Potts, Rhonda Westerfield all of Columbia, Eric Westerfield of Orlando, Florida, Mason Potts and Megan Potts both of Columbia, Evan Potts and Elijah Potts both of Antioch, Dr. Chad (Sue) Smith of Murfreesboro, Tara Smith of Cowan, Erritt Smith and Evinn Smith both of Winchester; daughter-in-law, Terri Potts of Antioch; and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Michael Lee Potts. Active pallbearers will be Chris Potts, Charles Hubbell, Paul Gibson, Eric Westerfield, Charles Gibson, Lane Gibson and Ricky Cushing. Honorary pallbearers include Allen Elias, Edwin Lovell, Terrell Angus, and Billy Huckaby.
