Jennifer Dawn Black Cook, 44, beloved daughter, wife, mother and sister died Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in Columbia.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Watson officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jennifer was born in Columbia, Tennessee to the Richard Dean Black and Patsy Goode Black. She was employed with U.S. Bank as a small business specialist. She loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, campfires and listening to music. Jennifer loved volunteering and helping people in need and with that passion she was on the Board of Directors for On Mission Motorsports and was awarded as Ambassador of the Year.
Survivors include her husband Chris Cook of Columbia; daughter Jaelyn Renae Black of Columbia; parents Richard Dean Black and Patsy Goode Black of Lewisburg; brother Jeff (Jamie) Black of Pulaski; sister Rose (Ben) Harrington of White House, Texas; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mike and Cathy Cook of Columbia; brothers-in-law, Adam (Jillian) Cook and Brian (Traci) Cook both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
