Jesse Wayne Underwood

View Video Tribute Jesse Wayne Underwood, 71, owner-operator of Underwood Sales & Service and resident of the Lynnville Community, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Hohenwald. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial followed in Lynnwood Cemetery. A native of the Culleoka Community, he was the son of the late William Thomas Underwood and Henri Edna McCord Underwood. Mr. Underwood was a member of Lynnville Baptist Church. He was a strong, caring, loving man who took care of his family and never met a stranger. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Wilda Ray Cole Underwood; daughter, Ann (Jamie) Reed of Culleoka; sons, Bobby Underwood of Mt. Pleasant and Ray (Bridget) Underwood of Glen Burnie, Maryland; grandchildren, Hunter Reed, Emerald Reed, Sklyer reed, Dakota Underwood, Abby Underwood, Stephen Underwood, Austin Underwood, and Lexi Underwood; brother, Harry D. (Faye) Underwood of Culleoka; sister-in-law, Jessie Underwood of Ardmore, Alabama; several nieces and nephews. His nephews served as pallbearers.
