View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Jessie Belle Moody Young, 78, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her residence. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home concluding with a celebration of her rest in peace at 6:00 P.M with Rev. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Moody and Levader Johns Moody of Summertown. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and Columbia Business College. She dressed many children at the Jack and Jill Shop of Columbia and then went to work at the Tennessee Farm Bureau. She retired to be a stay at home mom and to care for her grandchildren and aging relatives. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Dobbs Albert of Nashville and Vanessa Colley of Columbia; five grandchildren, Brittany Dobbs, Hayley Dobbs, Tom Colley, Samantha Colley, and Emmy Colley; and sister, Lola Blankenship of Ethridge. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Young, sisters, Dell Coningham of Pulaski, Barbara Bradbary of Lawrenceburg, and brother, Ulysses Moody of Lawrenceburg.
