Mr. Jimmy Dean Fralix, 78, resident of Trotwood Avenue, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Jimmy Nave officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Giles County, Mr. Fralix was the son of the late Charlie Clay Fralix and Onie Elizabeth Fralix. He was married to Elizabeth "Sue" Dodson Fralix who preceded him in death October 6, 2012. Mr. Fralix was a local business owner and loved fishing and playing guitar. Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Mike) Ballard of Columbia; brothers, David (Patsy) Fralix of the Southport Community, Johnny (Earline) Fralix of Columbia; granddaughter, Laura (Andrew) Howe of Columbia; great-granddaughter, Mariah Ballard of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Burbage and Shirley Harwell; and brothers, Gardner Fralix, Charles Fralix, Massey Fralix and Ed Fralix. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
