View Video TributesView Funeral Webcast Jimmy Lewis Young, 77, self-employed building contractor and former long-time resident of the Williamsport Community, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his residence in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Bill Tucker and Jim Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Love Cemetery at Love Branch. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Malcomb Patterson Young and Annie Alleyne Love Young. He attended schools in Davidson County and was a graduate of Central High School. Mr. Young was a member of Shady Grove Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Jean Bowman Young of Murfreesboro; daughters, Scarlett Young Satterfield of Nashville and Edith Jo (Kenneth) Denham of Bowling Green, Kentucky; son, Jimmy Ray (Caroline) Young of Brentwood; sisters, Margaret (Tom) Kirk of Franklin and Bobbie Fay (Bill) Slate of Nashville; grandchildren, Beau Taylor Young, Jim Austin Young, Trenton Denham, Crystal Satterfield (Travis) Maness, Wendy Essex, Jamie Lee Denham; great-grandchildren, Jessie Scott Satterfield, Sydney Essex, Willow Essex, Katrina Essex, and Brianna Essex; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Larry Don Bowman, Keith Richey, Pat Richey, Terry Barber, Jeremy Richey, Travis Maness, Trenton Denham, Henry Burnett, Larry Love, and Kenneth Denham.
