Joan Kirk Brown Aydelotte

Joan Kirk Brown Aydelotte, 93, resident of Columbia, died February 7, 2026 at Maury Regional Transitional Care.

Born April 10, 1932 in Giles County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Edward Kirk and the late Cora Schrader Kirk. Joan was retired from Redmond Davis Insurance Co. she loved square dancing with the “Wagon Wheelers” and exercising with her group the “Silver Sneakers.” Joan was a passionate homemaker and loved her family. She was a member of Riverside Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Pete (Joy) Brown, Becky (Larry) Davis; grandchildren, Hardin Brown, Anna Boyd Brown, Natalie (Billy) Belcher, Lindsey Jones; great grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Nate Jones, Lilly Grace Jones; as well as, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In Addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her two husbands, Watt Y. Brown and Eugene Finley Aydelotte; siblings, Raymond Kirk, Mahlon Kirk, Dot Salrin, Margaret Maddux, and Norma Whiteside.
