JoAnn Harris Biggs, 76, resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols with Reverend Chip Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Luther Hubert Harris and Beulah Blanche Pigg Harris. She was a 1957 graduate of Santa Fe High School. Mrs. Biggs was beautician for more than thirty years in Columbia and Nashville. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Biggs, whom she married November 14, 1969; daughters, Annette (Larry) Morgan of Dickson and Robin (Dean) Carroll of Murfreesboro; sisters, Marie Peters of Elgin, Illinois and Linda (Larry) Venable of Columbia; brothers, Henry Harris of Water Valley Community, and Freemon (Reba) Harris of Union City, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kayla (Jeromy) White, Michael (Kelsey) Carroll, Tristan Carroll, Monica Morgan, and Rebecca Morgan; great-grandchildren, Brayden White, Kayleigh White, Michael Morgan, Cody Hargrove, Celeste Hargrove, Brianna Hargrove, Destiny Hargrove, Madison Sykes, and Taylor Sykes; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Reed and Bettye Harris; two brothers, Luther Hugh Harris, Jr. and Robert "Bob" Harris. Active pallbearers will be Tristan Carroll, Michael Carroll, Jeromy White, Dean Carroll, and Larry Morgan.
