Joelene Goodwin Parks, 85, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at NHC Columbia.
Born on July 18, 1940, in Maury County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Claudie Goodwin and the late Annie Lee Adams Goodwin. On July 20, 1957, she married Richard Lee Parks, and together they shared more than 54 years of marriage until his death on November 4, 2011.
Mrs. Parks devoted many years of service to the citizens of Maury County through her work in the Maury County Government County Court Clerk's Office. She was a woman of Christian faith whose life was characterized by kindness, dedication, and love for her family. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafts and crocheting, creating treasured keepsakes for those she loved. She was also an active member of the Mynder's FCE Club and cherished the friendships and fellowship she found there.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shelia Parks of Columbia; her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Steve Lynn of Culleoka; three grandchildren, Adam Lynn and Charity Hasting Lynn, D'Anne Lynn Waters and Michael Waters, and Trenton Lee Parks and Madison Wilson Parks; and six great-grandchildren, Blake Lynn, Abygail Lynn, Lucas Waters, Harper Anne Waters, Cherish Hasting, and Jacob Hasting.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Mills and Ray Goodwin.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Don McKee officiating. The family will visit with friends at the cemetery following the service. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Serving as pallbearers will be Trent Parks, Adam Lynn, Blake Lynn, David Craig, Dale Craig, and Lucas Waters.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of NHC Columbia and Caris Hospice for the excellent care, compassion, and friendship shown to Mrs. Parks throughout the years.

Joelene will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.
