After he was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1972, he started Studio Supply Company in Nashville that designed and supplied equipment for recording studios. After many years of owning and operating Studio Supply Company, he sold the company and pursued his career as an executive pilot for Spandek Corporation in Franklin followed by several years as a self-employed pilot based out of Smyrna. He was an avid golfer, loved airplanes, and was proud of his military service. He was an active member of First Baptist Church where he enjoyed the Bible studies that were so important in his life. Survivors include his son, Nathan Rowe (Hannah) Alderson of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Bailey Ann (Adam) Long of Huntsville, AL; former wife, Charlotte Bone Alderson of Columbia; and brother, Don (Paulette) Alderson of Columbia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
