View Memorial WebcastMr. John Thomas "Tom" Rosenthal, 64, died Monday, September 7, 2009 at his residence on Horton Lane in Franklin. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 12 - 2p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Senath, Missouri, he was the son of the late Harold Eugene Rosenthal and Lottie Mae Farley Rosenthal Nugent. After graduation from Senath High School he joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. Following his military service he graduated from Memphis State and the University of Houston Pharmacy School. He was employed by Eckerd Pharmacy and CVS Pharmacy. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Lucile Bennett Rosenthal of Franklin; sister-in-law, Susan (B.B.) Joyner of Franklin; nephews, Stewart Joyner of Birmingham, Alabama, Richard Joyner of Spring Hill; and several cousins.
