View Funeral WebcastJohn Howard "Jack" Tracy, 82, retired farmer, contractor, and former resident of the Hampshire Community, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at Lewis County Nursing & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 6:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Vann officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in RiversideCemetery in Toms River, New Jersey. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. A native of Toms River, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Ralph Prior Tracy and Gladys Clayton Tracy. He had been a longtime member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Toms River, New Jersey. Survivors include his daughters, Robin (Ed) May of Waverly, Debra Repperger of Cape Coral, Florida, Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Davis of Hampshire; sons, Douglas (Wanda) Tracy of Hampshire, Peter Tracy of Mt. Pleasant, David Jo Peluso, and Domineck Peluso; grandchildren, Lee (Jamie) Hargrove, Jason (Adriana) Batchelder, Clayton Johns, Alexander May, Crystal (Dean) Bazzle, Darrel Greer, Misty (J. W.) Gray, Kenneth (Danielle) Davis, II, Bethany Davis, Jefferson Davis, Christopher Davis, Colton Davis, Brittany (Zec) Kratzer, Douglas (Denise) Tracy, II, Heather Daws, and Jaden Tracy; eighteen great grandchildren, and niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Velez; mother of his children, Ruth Hankins Tracy; granddaughter, Chelsey Davis; and great granddaughter, Chasta Gray.
