View Video TributeJohnathan Fred Long, 35, employee of Long Contracting Company, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his residence on Bryant Station Road. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Father Dr. Richard Zalesak officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Cynthia Jeanette Ragsdale Floyd of Lewisburg and Donald Fred Long of Culleoka. Mr. Long enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his children. He was a member of Grace Christian Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Christy Lynn Long of Columbia; one son, Tyler John James Long of Columbia; four daughters, Isabella Michele Long, Cara Paige Sally Long, Brooklyn Ashley Karen Long, and Skye Virginia Long, all of Columbia; two brothers, Donnie Mason Ragsdale of Tennessee; Nicholas James Long of Jackson; one sister, Mindy Jeanette Williams of Lewisburg; niece, Mariah Hope Lake; two nephews, Jeffrey Alan Lake and Bobby Joseph Ragsdale; uncles, Jimmy Long of Kentucky; Ronald Long of Columbia; aunt, Ruby Prince of Columbia; cousins, Larry Joe & Stacey Kelley, Tony Stout & Lynn Tucker; Jeffrey, Tammy & Emily Prince; and several other cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John & Virginia Long and cousin, Johnny Lee Stout. Pallbearers will be Dillon Kelley, Tony Stout, Joshua Ketelhut, Tyler Long, Nicholas Long, and Donnie Ragsdale.
