View Funeral Webcast Johnie William Harvey, 76, retired employee of Union Carbide and resident of Locust Lane, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Calvin Lunn and Brian Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the son of the late Luther Foster Harvey, Sr. and Tina Louise Waddy Harvey. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Clara Mae Rummage Harvey of Columbia; son, James (Sandra) Harvey of Columbia and his children, Jonathan (Leslie) Harvey, Matthew (Rene) Harvey, Alyssa Harvey; daughter, Brenda Harvey of Columbia and her children, Rhea (Steve) Ashley and Wayne Pagel,III; nephew whom he reared, Eddie Dean (Serita) Harvey of Columbia and his children, Benjamin Allred, Brittany Harvey, Keegan Harvey, Darian Harvey, Haiden Harvey, Makayla Davidson; great-grandchildren, Drew Ashley, Eli Ashley, Wyatt Harvey, Chloe Newborn; sisters, Laura Mayozo of Hernando, Mississippi, Shirley Trice of Dickson, Joyce (James) Fowler of Lewisburg, Ruby Lee Powers of Madison, Dorothy Wilkes of Austin, Texas, Virginia Cates of Culleoka, Elaine (Ollie) Thomas of Culleoka, Judy (Charles) Lee of Culleoka, Linda (James) Ballinger of Columbia, Lois (Joe) Kelley of Culleoka, Patricia (Ronald) Luna of Culleoka; brothers, Joe Hayes of Lewisburg and Donald (Alma) Sisk of Columbia; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Beatrice Malone, Frances Young, and Jessie Faye Sisk; brothers, Luther Harvey, Jr,, Charles Porter Harvey, William Thomas Sisk, and James Edward Sisk; and step-mother, Katie Harvey. Active pallbearers will be James Harvey, Johnathan Chad Harvey, Matthew Tyler Harvey, Wayne Pagel, III, Ray Rummage, Robbi Talley, Richi Talley, and Eddie Harvey. Honorary pallbearers include his family and friends.
