Johnny N. Wooten, 86, born in Bartow, FL and a resident of Columbia, TN passed away on December 7, 2023.

He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandpa. Johnny enjoyed tinkering with small engines and bicycles and was known as the "Yard Sale King" for his knack of finding the perfect deals at local flea markets and yard sales.

Johnny is survived by his children, Wayne (Karen) Wooten, Karen Wooten, and Doug Wooten; as well as his grandchildren, Matthew Barry, Alan (Kurtis Quintana) Barry, Sara Wooten, and Laura Wooten. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Wooten, parents Johnny and Oleta Wooten, and a grandson Landon Cicero.

Johnny proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1961. He exemplified the Navy's core values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his military career.

The family suggests memorials to the Boy Scout Troop 154 Campership Fund at First United Methodist Church, 202 South Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.

Visitation will be held at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia, TN on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10;00 A.M.at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home, with Brother Kevin Porter officiating. Johnny will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery.
