View Video Tribute Jolene Williams Jett, 72, retired Culleoka Postmaster, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Ivan Raley, pastor emeritis, officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. A life-long resident of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Williams and Allene Luna Williams and a graduate of Culleoka High School. Mrs. Jett was involved in all aspects of the Culleoka Community her entire adult life. She was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church and the Women of the Church. She served on the Culleoka Bicentennial Committee; was an organizer of Culleoka Country Christmas; assisted in compiling and publishing "A Century of Culleoka Memories." She was also an enthusiastic supporter of the work of the Culleoka Lions Club and Culleoka Fire Department. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Billy Frank Jett; a daughter, Lori Jett and her partner, James Eddie Liggett of Mooresville; sons, Michael Anthony Jett and William Christopher (Gwen) Jett of Culleoka; brother, Harold E. (Helen) Williams of Cookeville; grandson, William Ethan Jett of Culleoka; sisters-in-law, Carol Bryant Williams,Sandra Williams, and Patricia Fowler; and extended family, Patricia Hickman Hobbs and Brenda Hickman Ring. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Thomas Williams. Active pallbearers are Casey Derryberry, Drew Lewis, Trevor Gilmer, Royal Dickson, David Hobbs, Freddie Ring, Brent McCandless, and Jeff Parks. Honorary pallbearers include Deacons, Ushers, and Adult Sunday School Class members of Friendship Baptist Church, former employees of the Culleoka Post Office, members of Culleoka Fire Department, Maury County Fire Department, and Culleoka Lions Club.
