Jonnie Rester Williams, 88, former manager of Maury Regional Hospital Coffee Shop, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at her residence on Cayce Valley Drive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 10 - 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Juniper Grove Cemetery in Poplarville, Mississippi. On December 20, 1944, she married James Benjamin Williams who preceded her in death on May 24, 2010. Mrs. Williams was employed as secretary for the FBI in the 1940's. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Williams of Columbia; one son, J. Ben Williams and his partner, Lynne Swenson of Sherborn, Massachusetts; special friends and caregivers, Christy Vanvolkinburg, Linda Davis, and Amanda Lewis; sister-in-law, Maris Rester of Poplarville, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrue Breland and two brothers, Heber Rester and Carl Rester.
