Joseph Francis McDonald, 66, resident of Stewart's Ferry Pike in Nashville, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Summit Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Pat Pickett officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 12:00 noon to service time at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Maury County, he was the son of the late Arch "Cat" McDonald and Sarah Holland McDonald. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Mattie Sue Drinka and Sadie Russell; and brothers, Thomas "Tom" McDonald and James Robert "Jay" McDonald. He is survived by a sister, Jo Ann (Carl) Burt of Fort Worth, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and friends and staff at Clover Bottom Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
