View Video TributeMrs. Juanita "Snookie" Faye Anderson Brown, 73, resident of Carpenter Bridge Road, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Everett Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery on Hardison Mill Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, P.O. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late B. Tillman Anderson and Shellie Blankenship Anderson. On June 3, 1955 she married Billy M. Brown who survives. Together they raised cattle which Mrs. Brown had a passion for, and on her softer side she tended her rose garden and loved her Lady Commodore basketball team. Everyone loved her fried pies. She spent her free time going to yard sales and antiquing. Mrs. Brown was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ and had taught Sunday School previously at Sharp's Corner Church of Christ. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter, Becky (Anthony) Ray of Columbia; sons, Chris (Darlene) Brown of Sugar Tree, TN, Kent (Dee) Brown of Bath Springs, TN; sister, Bonnie McMahan of Mulberry, Florida; grandsons, Kevin (Amy) Brown of Nashville, Kyle (Courtney) Brown of Murfreesboro, Jeremy (Kristy) Brown of Paragould, Arkansas, Declan Ray of Columbia; granddaughters, Jessica (Darrell) Blankenship of Lexington, Jaclyn Sam (Brian) Wilson of Lakeland, Florida; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Anderson and a brother-in-law, Bobby McMahan. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brown, Kevin Brown, Kyle Brown, Declan Ray, Keith McMahan, Kyle McMahan, Darrell Blankenship and Brian Wilson.
