June Prentice Dillehay, 78, resident of Mack Branch Rd. in Lynnville, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at her sister's residence on Bradshaw Drive in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Allen Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Wilburn Berry Prentice and Dixie Juanita Staggs Prentice and was a graduate of Jones High School in Lynnville. On February 17, 1962 she married Clint Moore "Punk" Dillehay who preceded her in death September 4, 2009. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Howell (fiancée, Terriel Malone) of Lynnville, Mitzi (Rob) Andrew of Spring Hill; sons, Tom Dillehay (Stephen Huff) of Memphis, Berry (Sandy) Sands of Lynnville; sister, Edna Lou Folsom of Columbia; grandchildren, Charlene (Bryan) Russell of Pulaski, Wil (Lindsey) Sands of Lynnville; four great grandchildren; a very special niece, Shannon Watkins of Alabama; and very special friends and second family, Sharon Wells and Ben Yokley both of Lynnville. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
