Karin Lynn Kula (nee Larkin), age 55, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her sister Lisa and niece Kara were by her side at the time of her passing.
Karin was born in Louisville, Kentucky and attended St. Albert School and Sacred Heart Academy. She graduated from Western Kentucky University where she met the love of her life, Jeff Kula. They were married in 1995 and lived in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff preceded her in death in October 2013.
Karin was a beautiful soul who brought joy to those around her. She had a special love for her two cats, Francesca and Stella. She enjoyed fashion and always looking her best. She liked showing off her unique style. She had a vibrant and loving personality and a vivacious smile that captivated all who met her. She loved life and lived it to the fullest until the end. Karin spent most of her career working in marketing for various healthcare companies.
Karin is survived by her mother, Marcia Larkin; sister, Lisa Larkin; many nieces and nephews especially, nephew, Ryan Larkin and niece, Kara Larkin; aunt, Teri H. Gordon and uncle Thomas N Gordon; cousins Bonnie Duley, Patricia Hallman, Catherine Summerlin, Christy Stewart, Thomas N. Gordon, Jr. and Edward B. Gordon.
Karin is preceded in death by her father, Wm. Michael Larkin, husband, Jeff Kula, and sister Laura Larkin.
Visitation will be held at St. Philip Catholic Church, 113 Second Ave. S., Franklin, TN at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17 with the Memorial Mass to follow at noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation – give.bcrf.org. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
The family would like to thank and express their appreciation for everyone who cared for Karin during her illness, especially the loving and compassionate care given to Karin by friends, Daisy Broughton, Alina Logan and Debby McMillin Fleming and the medical team and the chaplains at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.
