View Funeral WebcastKathie Kay Gidcomb Toone, 58, died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at her residence on Haley Lane. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday after 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mrs. Toone was a 1969 graduate of Columbia Central High School and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. She was married to Dennis Michael Toone who preceded her in death on May 2, 2002. Mrs. Toone was a homemaker and greatly enjoyed fishing. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Craig (Linda) Bobo of Summertown; Steven Ray Bobo of Columbia; mother and stepfather, Betty Ruth Daniels & A. C. Hall of Columbia; father and setepmother, Fred & Jean Gidcomb of Columbia; two sisters, Peggy Ruth Gidcomb of Columbia; Bonnie L. (Dan) Moore of Savannah; two brothers, James David (Reda) Gidcomb and Fred Lee (Doris) Gidcomb, both of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Clay Gidcomb; paternal grandparents, Elbert & Evie Gibson Gidcomb; maternal grandparents, Hensley Nicklous & Sarah Daniels. Pallbearers will be Jason Tomlin, Freddie Lee "Buddy" Gidcomb, Jr., B. J. Spires, Craig Bobo, Sherrill Toone, and Dale Tomlin.
