Kathryne Sue Ausbrooks Burris

Kathryne Sue Ausbrooks Burris, 65, resident of Columbia passed away, June 1, 2025 at her residence.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Kathryne was born on September 10, 1959 in Franklin, KY to the late Virgil Ausbrooks and the late Tildie Gann Ausbrooks. She was an Active member of her church, Northview Church of Christ and Loved Jesus. She enjoyed walking her dogs in Yanahli Park, Travelling all over the world, University of Kentucky athletics and cooking.

Survivors include her daughter, Lindsay (Eric) Getkin; son, Shane Allen; Grandchildren, Leah Meyer, Andrew Meyer; Brothers, Ricky (Sue) Ausbrooks, Jerry (Jan) Ausbrooks, Henry (Janet) Ausbrooks, Michael (Pam) Ausbrooks; sisters, Sharlotte Williams, Pat (Doug) Jackson; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her two Yorkies, Ky, and Kerbi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Clifton Ausbrooks, and Roger Williams Ausbrooks.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hamilton at Sarah Cannon, and the nursing staff at hospice Compassus.
