Mrs. Katie Juanita Smith King, 71, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at her residence in Trenton, Texas. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Huntsville, Alabama native was the daughter of the late Johnny A. Smith and Mamie E. Sanders Smith. She was married to James Thomas King who preceded her in death on March 6, 2010. Survivors include one daughter, Mamie Chavarria; four sons, Tommie Gonzales, David Gonzales, Samuel Gonzales and Jeffrey D. Wise; three sisters, Barbara, Betty, and Jody; one brother Howard; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and longtime friend Larry. She was preceded in death by daughter, Ruby; son, Sonny Gonzales; sisters Shirley and Ima Jean; and brothers, James, Buddy, Oscar and Jesse.
