Mr. Keith Williams, 51, hardworking, self-employed landscaper and resident of Columbia, sadly passed away on February 11, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with a reception to follow at Harlin Student Hall at Battle Ground Academy High School in Franklin. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Keith was born on the Island of New Providence in the beautiful, sunny Bahamas, the son of the late Stanley Williams and Hilda Louise Haven Williams, and grew up on the island of Grand Bahama. At the age of twelve he began playing baseball and softball, and though a versatile player, he mastered the position of catcher. He was selected by the Bahama Softball/Baseball Federation to represent his country nationally and internationally. As he grew older his love of sports and young people led him to coaching several teams and he became affectionately known as "Coach Keith". On November 17, 1991 he married Stacey Bianca Darling and in 1996 they moved from the Bahamas to Smyrna, Tennessee. That same year he began coaching in the Smyrna Junior Girls Softball League and acted as Assistant Coach to his four sons' baseball and basketball teams. He was a seventeen year resident of Smyrna before moving to Maury County. Keith will forever be missed by his loving wife, Stacey Darling Williams of Columbia; sons, Dominique Williams, Daryll Williams, Donnavin Williams and Dustin "Dusty" Williams; grandson, Jayden Blake Williams; mother-in-law, Daisy Darling; sisters, Adelphine Rolle, Elisa Pinder, Carolyn Davis, Shirley Williams, Brenda Williams, Louise Simozne; brothers, Stanley Williams, Jr., Carl Williams, Kenneth Williams, Timothy Williams, Bruce Williams, Michael Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
