Mr. Stanley Kirk Anderson, 46, school teacher and resident of Cotton Blossom Lane in Nashville, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at St. Thomas Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Senechal officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Linda Demastus Anderson of Columbia and the late Stanley Anderson. The 1984 graduate of Columbia Central High School attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors Degree in English. He was currently home schooling his children. Mr. Anderson was very active in Boy Scout Troop 55 and held the position of Quarter Master. He was a sports enthusiast, loved music and genealogy research. He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Nashville where he previously sang in the choir. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of nearly twenty years, Pamela Potts Anderson of Nashville; daughter, Caitrin Laine Anderson of Nashville; son, Ryne Kirk Anderson of Nashville; brother, James (Melia) Anderson of Mt. Juliet; brothers-in-law, Alan J. (Suzette) Potts and Warren (Tammy) Potts both of Centerville; nieces, Hannah Pendergrass, Hope Pendergrass, Savannah Potts, Karly Potts; and several cousins. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
