Kyle Spencer Allen, 35, former resident of Columbia, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 in New Delhi, India. A memorial service was conducted in New Delhi, India on Saturday, February 23rd and in Houston, Texas on March 2nd. A memorial service will be conducted in Columbia on Friday, March 8th at 6:00 p.m. at West Seventh Street Church of Christ. Visitation with the family and a potluck meal will follow the service. Born October 11, 1977 at Fort Hood, Texas, he graduated from high school in Monticello, Arkansas where he spent most of his younger years. He attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee where he met and married the love of his life, Joy Miller. He graduated with a degree in Bible and a second degree in Finance. Later he earned a Master's Degree in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University. For two years they lived in Columbia, Tennessee where they had their first child, Celia Joy, and prepared for their work in India. For the past six and one-half years they served doing the Father's work in India. While there they added a sweet Indian girl, Asha, to the family in 2006. A baby boy, Ephraim, was born last year. Kyle was a faithful servant of the Lord, dedicated to his God, his family and his work. In addition to his beloved wife, Rebecca Joy Miller Allen of New Delhi, India; he is survived by his children, Celia (age 8), Asha (age 6), and Ephraim (age 11 months), all of New Delhi, India; his parents, Kathryn and Don Allen of Houston, Texas; sister, Amy Allen (Daryl) Parsons of Houston, Texas; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ellen and Robin Miller of Columbia, Tennessee; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joanna and Travis Kuhns of Columbia; niece, Selene Kuhns of Columbia; nephew and niece, Kaden and Kylie Parsons of Houston, Texas; and other extended family.
