View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Landon Ryan Slaughter, 4, of Columbia, joined God's precious angels on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mylen Coble officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Landon Slaughter Trust Fund, c/o First Farmers & Merchants Bank. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 21, 2006 in Columbia, he was the son of Ryan and Lana Uzzell Slaughter. Landon attended Little Tikes Day Care of Lewisburg and Viola Baptist Church. He played T-Ball for Buster Custom Barns in Columbia. Landon loved trains, big trucks, riding his four-wheeler, and digging worms. He also loved hunting and fishing with his Daddy. Landon had an amazing personality and a great big heart that touched so many. He enjoyed life by spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Herbert Danny and Sherry Slaughter, Randy and Vanessa Uzzell; uncle and aunt, Kerby & Ashley Slaughter; cousin, Tucker D. Slaughter; great grandparents, Earlene Phaye (Jerry) Pipkin and Helen Gail Estes, Frank and Faye Uzzell and Ruth King; one great great grandmother, Oma Bradford; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Josh Davis, Joseph Ellich, David Katzenberger, and Dustin Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryant Brewer, Casey Hill, Dustin Carroll, Johnathan Uzzell, Nicholas Clark, Amanda Hood, Amelia Holmes, and Little Tikes Day Care.
